The home has a family atmosphere, and we encourage staff to have an upbeat approach to caring for our residents, in turn lifting their spirits.
At St Mary’s we provide long term and respite care, there is also an option to trial a month prior to making any long term decisions.
Our catering team take great pride in crafting fresh, seasonal menus that evolve daily for both lunch and dinner. We ensure that each menu is thoughtfully designed to accommodate all allergies and dietary requirements, including those with sensitive or soft palates. Whether our residents prefer a vegetarian, pescatarian, or vegan diet, we go above and beyond to cater to their individual tastes and needs.
The staff team are trained to recognise and react to any changes in the physical ability to eat and drink, and we seek medical advice as necessary. We keep monthly weight records, and any concerns are addressed with our visiting nutritionist every 3-months, or with the GP if urgent.

There are currently no restrictions to visits, and we encourage regular visits from family and friends, welcome to have lunch by prior arrangement
For new residents moving in, we offer trial periods to ensure their comfort and satisfaction with our services. During this trial period, which spans 28 days, residents have the peace of mind that they can choose to leave at any point by providing written notice, and their departure will take immediate effect. We prioritize our residents’ well-being and aim to make their transition to our care home as seamless and reassuring as possible.
Our dedicated activities team craft activity plans with a person-centered approach, ensuring they incorporate the favourite hobbies and pastimes of each resident. By taking the time to understand the unique likes and dislikes of individuals, our colleagues can provide tailored activities that enable residents to lead fulfilling and enriched lives.And remain as independent as possible, whilst is a safe environment.
For music lovers, we have Alexa devices dotted around the home, we also have external entertainment from the local community come in and perform seasonal shows. All are welcome to join.
For those who enjoy a film, our main lounge TV has Netflix membership, and resident are welcome sit with a drink of their choice and snacks and enjoy movies of their choosing.

St Mary’s has 27 bedrooms, all of which are en-suite. There 2 main lounges, lots of seating in communal areas, as well as a light and airy conservatory.
We are also the only residential care home in the local area with our own Chapel.
Each residence is uniquely designed to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for our residents.
